Successful people know that setting goals is a strategy that works.
But did you know that some goals are more effective than others?
Here are some questions to check your goal setting against:
First create your goal; then ask:
- Is this goal within my control?
- Will this goal energize me or deplete my energy?
- Are the results I want clear and specific?
- How will I know when I’ve reached my goal?
- Do I have a target date?
- Is this do-able given the circumstances?
As a coach, I know that when my clients commit to goals, it’s important that they are the kind of goals that are a “set-up” for success. These are some good questions to help you to succeed.
